About the competition

This fourth grand edition of the “Classic Winds” International Competition will take place in Dubai, UAE, from 7 February to 1 March 2023. The event will provide an engaging and exciting platform for talented young flautists, clarinettists, saxophonists and oboists to demonstrate their prodigious skills, as well as promising unique performance opportunities including the chance to perform alongside a live orchestra in the event’s exciting final round. Dubai has been chosen for both its incredible cultural diversity as well as the prestige and professionalism it brings to the many events it hosts throughout the year, ensuring this fourth iteration of “Classic Winds” stands to be the most engaging and prolific yet. The initiative is organised and managed by SAMIT Event Group, organisations with a proven track record built on years of experience directing large-scale cultural events around the world.
